Delhi Premier League (DPL) is back with its second season, after a huge success in first season. This year, DPL 2025 promises to be more action-packed with the inclusion of two new teams, raising the competition and fan excitement to a whole new level.

What makes this season even more special? The league will feature top-tier talent, including iconic names like Rishabh Pant, the nephew of Virat Kohli, and the son of cricket legend Virender Sehwag, making it a star-studded event that could rival even the IPL in popularity.

The auction for DPL 2025 was held on July 6, where a mix of marquee players and emerging talent participated, including the son of Virendra Sehwag and the nephew of Virat Kohli.

Overview of Delhi Premier League

Delhi Premier League 2025 Schedule

Delhi Premier League 2025 is starting from August 2, 2025, and the final is scheduled for August 31, 2025, with a reserve day on September 1. Teams are divided into two groups: Group A & Group B, and each team will play 10 league matches.

This season will feature 8 teams (including 2 new entrants), competing in a round-robin format followed by playoffs.

DPL 2025 Full Schedule and Fixture

Delhi Premier League 2025 Venues – All matches of the Delhi Premier League 2025 will be played at Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi, a well-equipped venue known for hosting major domestic and international cricket matches.

Alongside the men’s DPL, the schedule for the Women’s Delhi Premier League has also been announced. Women’s DPL will take place from August 17 to 24, featuring four teams competing in six league matches, followed by the final on August 24, 2025.

As per the latest report, Rishabh Pant is retained by the Purani Dilli 6, owned by SISL Infotech Pvt. Ltd. The most buzzing entries of this season are – Aaryaveer Kohli, nephew of Virat Kohli, and Aryavir Sehwag, the son of explosive batsman Virendra Sehwag.

The other most notable player is IPL’s centurion and 6 sixes hitter of the last season of DPL 2024 – Priyansh Arya, a member of South Delhi Superstarz. Other players are Rishabh Pant, Ishant Sharma, Harshit Rana, Digvesh Rathi, Mayank Yadav, and more.
