Asia Cup Team India Squad Announcement
Today, on August 19, BCCI announced India Asia Cup Squad led by Skipper Suryakumar Yadav and vice-captain Shubman Gill. Sanju Samson will open for India with Abhishek Sharma, while Shubman Gill, Tilak Verma, and Shivam Dube support the middle with Suryakumar Yadav. The lower middle order is handled by Hardik Pandya, Rinku Singh, and Axar Patel.
The selectors heavily depend on the winning team of the India vs England T20 tournament, led by Suryakumar Yadav. As a result, players like Yashasvi Jaiswal, Rishabh Pant (currently sidelined due to injury), KL Rahul, and several other recent top performers have not been given opportunities.
