A total of 1574 players have shown their interest and registered for this mega auction which includes 329 capped stars. Each team has maximum spots of 25 players including the retained players. On the closing window of retained players on 31st October, it was declared that all franchisees had retained a total of 46 players which left 206 spots only for auction.
So, there would be going to be intense competition among the players as 1574 players have registered while there are only 206 spots. It is interesting to note that each team has an INR 120 crore budget which makes a total of INR 1200 crore and INR 656.75 crore has already been spent by all teams.
